Tour XV: The last word

Over the past few months, I have been posting photos from Eurolanche on Tour XV on Eurolanche's social media accounts. As part of my recollections, I divided the posts into chronological segments, each containing five characteristic shots. In the end, there were 210 photos in total, which fit into 42 posts.
This year's fifteenth Eurolanche trip was by far the best one for me. I looked back nostalgically on specific moments, as if they had happened many years ago. And yet only a few weeks had passed.
Almost three weeks, the longest trip with the most Colorado Avalanche games - nine. If we add the game with the Eagles affiliated team, that makes ten. Add two NBA games and we find that there was an event almost every night.
The longest flight within the US on a road trip to the east coast. Boston, New York, a ride on a regional train, attractions in the most famous city in the world... It would be difficult to find another trip in history that was planned in such detail, hour by hour. In the past, something would sometimes change, something would not work out, and the program would be adjusted. Now, we just checked off one activity after another, 110 percent.
In addition to traditional places, after so many visits, I realized that there is always something new to discover in Colorado. Whether it's sightseeing, driving, or spending free time. Driving through beautiful nature. A quick stop at some bizarre location. Feeding bison standing right in front of you. Swimming in a warm spring next to an ice-cold stream... Colorado always has something to offer.
I also remember meeting local fans and our friends. The traditional dinner at Ken's house with his family, with the usual stop at the local whiskey distillery. Support from many others, thanks to whom we were able to save some of the costs. Due to several factors, these costs reached astronomical proportions.
Eurolanche on Tour XV was the culmination of everything I founded Eurolanche for. Strong alliances, exciting experiences, and discovering not only the world of hockey. All spiced up with a good dose of sporting experiences.
I am currently starting to plan Eurolanche on Tour XVI. As I announced some time ago, this will be the last trip I organize. I fear that it will be difficult to match or even exceed the quality of the fifteenth trip. However, I will do everything I can to get as close to it as possible.
It will be a trip full of farewells that had to come someday. I would like to believe that even after my departure, new ones will emerge so that the main idea and mission of Eurolanche will live on.
