Avs recall G. Bourque and Henley

The Colorado Avalanche announced today that forwards Gabriel Bourque and Sam Henley have been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).
The duo’s call-up to the NHL serves as the Colorado’s fifth and sixth recalls from San Antonio this season, joining former Rampage players Calvin Pickard, Nikita Zadorov, Andreas Martinsen, and Mikko Rantanen in Colorado.
Bourque, 26, has collected five points including two goals and three assists in 11 games with the Rampage this season. He began the year with the Avalanche, skating in five games before being reassigned to San Antonio on Oct. 31. Last season he logged four points in the first 22 games with the Nashville Predators before missing most of the remaining season to injury, only appearing in four more games in late February with the club’s AHL affiliate the Milwaukee Admirals.
Henley, 23, has tallied four points including a goal and three assists in 19 games this season. The third-year pro spent last season with the Rampage, leading the team in games played and tallying fifteen points. The recall will serve as the first in his career as he will look to be the second Rampage player to make their NHL debut this year.
