Eurolanche

In October 2021, Eurolanche, the World's Biggest Avs Fan Club Founded in Europe since 2007, organized its 14th member meeting in Brno, Czech Republic. The on-going coronavirus pandemic caused the biggest break in between similar activities organized by the Fan Club – the last member meeting took place two years ago and the last event organized by Eurolanche was the Eurolanche Invasion XII back in February 2020.

 

Eurolanche Meeting 14 included a program rich with activities for its 13 participants from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Following Friday’s celebration of a long-overdue in-person meeting across three countries, Saturday was scheduled to be a busy day. Eurolanche members put their accuracy to a test via a virtual laser game, while honing it even more during a floorball game in the evening, which included real, sometimes pretty stingy shots.

 

The weekend was capped off by a watch party of the Avalanche’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Lighting at a sports bar rented by Eurolanche for this occasion. The game began at 1 am local time and ended with an Avs win shortly after 4 am.

 

The winner of the game prediction competition won a team pennant signed by Avs players from the 2017/18 season.

 

 

Eurolanche is planning more in-person activities during the season, should emergency measures in regard to the pandemic permit it. Invitations to said activities will be sent out to all registered Eurolanche members in advance via their e-mail addresses, with which they signed up for their membership at the Fan Club’s homepage.
